Information you provide: The source details you type into the citation generator (titles, author names, URLs) are processed in your browser to build your citation. We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name or email to use the tool.
Automatically collected information: Like most websites, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and referring pages. This is used for site analytics, performance, and security.
Autocite requests: When you use the URL autocite feature, the address you paste is sent to our server so we can fetch that page's public metadata (title, author, date). These requests may be cached temporarily to improve performance and are not linked to you personally.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them, and allow certain third parties to use them, in order to operate the site, understand how it is used, and serve advertising.
